ETFE Product Overview
ETFE is fluorine-containing polymer mainly with ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene alternative structure, not only exhibits the equivalent excellent resistance to strong acid and alkali, chemical corrosion and so on to polytetrafluoroethylene, but also possesses thermoplastic and processing of polyethylene (PE). Meanwhile, ETFE also showcases exceptional mechanical properties and dielectric properties, radiation resistance, chemical stability and weather fastness that are close to perfluoropolymer.
In the ultraviolet and visible regions, a 25-micrometer ETFE film has a transmittance of 89-95%. With the long-term usage temperature range of 10°C to 50°C and a combustion rating of UL94V0, it is suitable for flame-retardant high-temperature wiring. Due to its physical and chemical properties, ETFE has been widely used in electricity (high-grade wires and cables), chemical corrosion prevention, construction industry and so on.

In addition, ETFE has the strongest characteristics in fluorine plastics, compared with PTFE, ETFE in addition to high heat resistance, chemical resistance and good electrical properties, in terms of mechanical properties and radiation resistance have been greatly improved, tensile strength is twice that of PTFE. ETFE can be used in a wide range of temperature changes. The long-term use environment is between -65°C and 150°C, which can meet the harsh requirements of fluorine plastics in various harsh environments.
