Nicotinamide riboside, chemically named 3-(aminocarbonyl)-1β-D-furanose ribosylpyridine, is a derivative of vitamin B3 and a precursor compound of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+), CAS number 1341-23-7, molecular formula C11H16N2O5. It is a white or pale yellow crystalline powder at room temperature, with a boiling point of 353.7℃. It is naturally present in trace amounts in milk and can be prepared chemically.
