Product Overview
Food Grade Sodium Alginate is a natural polysaccharide compound extracted from kelp. It appears as pale yellowish powder, odorless and tasteless, soluble in water but insoluble in alcohol and other organic solvents. With a viscosity of 10-20 cps in 1% solution (Brookfield viscometer), this sodium salt of alginic acid is widely used to increase viscosity and as an emulsifier in various food applications.
