Product Purpose


Rear wheel oil seals, including rear inner and outer wheel oil seals, are essential sealing components for bus and coach rear axle hub systems. They are installed at the matching position of the rear wheel hub and axle shaft. The main function is to seal the internal lubricating grease and gear oil of the wheel hub assembly to prevent oil leakage during vehicle driving, braking and heavy-load operation. At the same time, it can effectively block external dust, sand, mud, rainwater and humid air from penetrating into the hub interior. It keeps the internal bearings and rotating parts in a clean and well-lubricated state, reduces operational wear, avoids hub abnormal noise and damage, and ensures the safe and stable driving of the bus.

Product Features


This series of rear wheel oil seals adopts high-quality rubber and reinforced metal skeleton integrated molding technology, with solid structure and strong deformation resistance. It has excellent high-temperature resistance and aging resistance, which can adapt to the high-temperature environment generated by long-term running and friction of bus rear wheels without softening, cracking or failure. The optimized wear-resistant sealing lip can withstand long-term high-speed rotation and vibration, maintaining lasting and stable sealing performance. With precise integral die-casting size, high fitting degree and strong universality, multiple complete sizes are available to meet the maintenance and replacement needs of various bus models.

Compared with ordinary aftermarket oil seals, our bus rear wheel oil seals adopt upgraded wear-resistant and high-temperature resistant rubber materials, which effectively solves the common defects of traditional oil seals such as easy oil leakage, aging and short service life under long-distance and heavy-load working conditions. The built-in reinforced metal skeleton greatly improves the overall support strength, preventing looseness, falling off and oil seal deflection during operation. The standard original-car size design requires no cutting or modification during installation, realizing fast and accurate assembly. The products have strong dustproof, waterproof and anti-leakage capabilities, with multiple sizes in stock. They can effectively reduce bus maintenance frequency and long-term use cost, being high-cost performance universal replacement spare parts for bus rear axles.


   


Installation Steps


  1. Park the bus on a flat and hard ground, turn off the engine, and wait for the rear wheel hub parts to cool completely. Fix the vehicle with hand brake and wheel chocks to ensure safe construction.

  2. Remove the rear wheel tires, brake accessories and hub assembly in sequence, and drain the residual lubricating grease and gear oil inside the hub.

  3. Remove the old oil seal completely, and thoroughly clean the oil seal installation groove to remove dirt, iron scraps, aging rubber residues and impurities.

  4. Check the new rear wheel inner or outer oil seal for damage, deformation or defective rubber surface. Apply a thin layer of clean lubricating grease on the sealing lip and outer ring.

  5. Align the new oil seal vertically with the installation groove, use a professional pressing tool to press it evenly and slowly into the groove until the oil seal is flat and fully seated without skew or gap.

  6. Reinstall the hub assembly, brake parts and tires in reverse installation order, and fasten all bolts according to standard torque.

  7. Add qualified new lubricating grease and gear oil to the hub, conduct idle running test, and confirm no oil leakage at the oil seal installation position.


Installation & Usage Precautions


  1. Do not install the oil seal when the hub is in a high-temperature state, to avoid rubber thermal deformation, installation deviation and subsequent oil leakage failure.

  2. Violent knocking with hard tools such as hammers is prohibited during installation, which will damage the oil seal rubber lip and metal skeleton and destroy the sealing performance.

  3. The installation groove must be kept clean and free of impurities. Residual iron scraps and dirt will scratch the new oil seal and cause early leakage.

  4. Select the inner or outer rear wheel oil seal with matching size strictly according to the bus model and hub parameters, mismatched sizes will cause poor fitting and sealing failure.

  5. Ensure the oil seal is installed horizontally and completely in place. Skewed and incomplete installation will lead to uneven stress and rapid wear of the sealing surface.

  6. Do not drive at high speed or with full load immediately after installation. Idle running for 10-15 minutes to make the sealing lip fit closely with the shaft.

  7. Check the oil seal and hub lubrication status regularly in daily maintenance, and replace aging and worn oil seals in time to avoid hub failure and driving safety hazards.
