KN‑JMBJX brake pad wear warning sensor is a critical monitoring component for bus coach brake system. Installed together with brake pads, it continuously monitors the remaining thickness of brake pads. When brake pads are worn to service limit, the built‑in conductor of butterfly‑head sensing head will be cut off, sending wear‑warning signal to vehicle dashboard. Installation Steps

  1. Park the bus safely, turn off vehicle power supply, lift vehicle and remove wheel for maintenance operation.

  2. Take out old brake pads and original wear alarm wire from brake caliper assembly.

  3. Place butterfly‑head sensing end of new KN‑JMBJX sensor into reserved slot of new brake pad, make sure sensing head is closely attached to friction layer of brake pad.

  4. Arrange Y‑type split harness reasonably inside caliper, prevent harness from being squeezed by moving parts.

  5. Connect the plastic connector of wear alarm cable to the vehicle corresponding electrical socket firmly.

Notes

  1. Installation must be completed when replacing brake pads, do not reuse old deformed or worn wear‑warning cable.
