Purpose

This ABS wheel speed sensor is a core component of the vehicle anti-lock braking system. It collects the real-time rotation speed signal of the wheel and transmits the signal to the ABS control unit. The system judges the wheel locking trend according to the received signal, dynamically adjusts the braking pressure, and effectively prevents the wheels from locking up during emergency braking. It improves vehicle driving stability, shortens the braking distance, and avoids sideslip and out-of-control risks, widely used for buses, coaches and other commercial vehicles.

Available in straight and elbow two types for different installation requirements. Adopts high-quality aluminum alloy sensor head with good sealing performance. The wire harness is equipped with a black corrugated protective tube, with anti-aging, wear-resistant and anti-tensile properties. It supports 12V / 24V working voltage, adapts to the working temperature range of -40℃ to +125℃, and can normally operate in complex working conditions such as high temperature, low temperature, muddy water and oil pollution. The product is equipped with matching metal fixing bushing for convenient assembly.

Installation Method

  1. Clean the sensor mounting hole and axle surface thoroughly to remove iron filings, mud, rust and other impurities.

  2. Put the matching metal fixing bushing into the reserved installation hole.

  3. Insert the ABS sensor into the bushing and ensure the sensor head keeps a reasonable gap with the signal gear ring.

  4. Fix the corrugated wire harness properly with clips to prevent excessive pulling, friction and extrusion.

  5. Align and insert the connector firmly, check the waterproof sealing ring of the plug to ensure good sealing.

  6. After installation, start the vehicle and test the ABS system to confirm no fault code appears.

Precautions

  1. Do not knock or squeeze the sensor head with hard objects during transportation and installation, which may damage the internal induction component.

  2. Do not adjust the gap between the sensor head and the signal gear ring at will, excessive or too small gap will cause signal abnormality.

  3. Avoid dragging the wire harness sharply, and do not cut or pierce the outer protective tube of the cable.

  4. Keep the plug away from corrosive liquid such as brake fluid, lubricating oil and cleaning agent.

  5. If the original wire harness routing has wear and aging, replace it together to prevent later failure.

  6. Regularly check the sensor fixing status and wiring tightness during vehicle maintenance.

  7. Only use matching original accessories for replacement; non-standard accessories will affect the normal operation of the ABS system.
