Installation Instructions

  1. Make sure the bus is completely parked, handbrake pulled tight, and the brake system is fully cooled down before installation work.

  2. Dismount the wheel and remove the old, damaged brake pad wear sensor cable.

  3. Insert the small sensing tips of new warning cable into reserved slots of brake pads. Ensure sensing ends cling closely to brake pad friction surface.

  4. Arrange wiring reasonably and fix the harness, keep cable away from rotating brake disc and other moving components.

  5. Align and lock the blue waterproof connector with the vehicle‑side mating plug, fasten the connector buckle securely.

  6. Refit the wheel, complete assembly, carry out trial run to confirm wear‑alarm function works normally.

Notes

  1. Do not pull or twist the cable violently during installation, to prevent premature breakage of internal conducting wires.

  2. Sensing tips must be placed inside brake pad slots. Exposing sensing tips outside friction area will lead to alarm failure.

  3. Keep connector surface clean. Prevent sand, mud and water from entering the connector before plug‑in connection.

  4. Prevent the cable from being squeezed by brake caliper, suspension parts or wheel hub. Leave proper harness margin for chassis vibration.

  5. Regularly inspect the warning cable for abrasion, crack or falling‑off in daily operation. Replace immediately once damaged.

  6. This sensor is only used for disc‑brake pad wear monitoring. Do not apply it to other irrelevant systems.

  7. If abnormal alarm signal occurs, first check cable installation status and connector connection condition.
