· PLC: The central processing unit receives operating instructions and coordinates the logical sequence of all operations, including feeding and cutting.
· Human-Machine Interface: Typically a touchscreen, this allows the operator to set parameters such as cutting thickness, number of slices, and cutting speed, and monitor machine operating status.
· Thickness Setting and Encoder: A servo system or high-precision encoder precisely controls the distance of each feed, thereby accurately controlling the thickness of each slice.

1. Loading: Place the large sponge blank on the feed platform, close to the hydraulic push plate.
2. Parameter Setting: Enter the desired slice thickness and total number of slices on the touch screen.
3. Start-up: The machine starts, and the cutting blade begins to rotate at high speed.
4. Feeding: The servo/hydraulic system drives the push plate, advancing the sponge to the set thickness.
5. Cutting: The high-speed blade cuts the sponge horizontally, producing a sponge sheet of the specified thickness.
6. Discharging: The cut sponge sheet falls onto the discharge conveyor and is transported away.
7. Loop: The push plate advances again, and steps 4-6 are repeated until all the set number of slices have been completed.
