The chemical composition of 316L stainless steel includes carbon (C) ≤ 0.030%, silicon (Si) ≤ 1.00%, manganese (Mn) ≤ 2.00%, sulfur (S) ≤ 0.030%, phosphorus (P) ≤ 0.045%, chromium (Cr) 16.00~18.00%, nickel (Ni) 10.00~14.00%, molybdenum (Mo) 2.00~3.00%. These ingredients make 316L stainless steel have excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature strength.
Manufacturing process and application field:
316L stainless steel pipe is usually produced by seamless process, with smooth inner and outer walls, high dimensional accuracy, and can withstand high pressure without leakage. Its manufacturing standards include ASME AS-213/SA-213M, ASTM A312, GB/T14976, etc.
316L stainless steel pipes are suitable for industrial pipelines and mechanical structural parts such as petroleum, chemical, medical, food, light industry, mechanical instruments, etc., especially in places where high strength and corrosion resistance are required. Corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance. 316L stainless steel performs well in chloride ion environments and is particularly suitable for fields such as chemical and marine engineering. Its corrosion resistance is better than that of 304 stainless steel, and it can be used under high temperature and harsh conditions, and has excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion. In addition, 316L stainless steel can withstand temperatures up to 1300°C in short-term high temperature environments, and the long-term use temperature can reach around 870°C.
