631 alloy stainless steel, also known as 0Cr17Ni7Al or SUS631, is a semi-austenitic precipitation hardening stainless steel. Its chemical composition includes carbon (C) ≤0.09%, silicon (Si) ≤1.00%, manganese (Mn) ≤1.00%, sulfur (S) ≤0.030%, phosphorus (P) ≤0.035%, chromium (Cr) 16.00～18.00%, nickel (Ni) 6.50～7.75%, copper (Cu) ≤0.50% and aluminum (Al) 0.75～1.50%.
Performance characteristics
High strength and high hardness: After aging treatment, its tensile strength is significantly improved, for example, after aging treatment at 565℃, the tensile strength can reach 1140 MPa; after aging treatment at 510℃, the tensile strength can reach 1230 MPa.
Good corrosion resistance: It can maintain good performance in a variety of corrosive environments and is suitable for application scenarios that require high corrosion resistance.
Fatigue resistance: It is not easy to suffer fatigue damage under repeated stress, and is suitable for parts that need long-term stable work.
Application areas
Aerospace: Used to manufacture aircraft engine parts, landing gear, structural parts, etc. Medical equipment: Used for surgical instruments, implants and other parts that require high strength and corrosion resistance. Automobile manufacturing: Used to manufacture high-performance automotive parts such as engine parts and transmission systems.
