Q1: How does Fanuc handle "Class-A" surface protection for aluminum parts?
We utilize Fanuc's Soft Float or Force Control software. This allows the robot's joints to become "compliant" during the pick-and-place operation. If there is a slight misalignment between the robot and the die, the robot "gives" slightly rather than forcing the part, preventing scratches and pressure marks on delicate aluminum or pre-painted steel.
Q2: Can Fanuc robots be integrated with "Giga-Press" or large-tonnage tandem lines?
Yes. For extremely large parts, we deploy the M-2000iA series, the world's strongest 6-axis robot (up to 2,300kg payload). These are used to transfer entire vehicle side-frames or large-format EV battery enclosures that are too heavy or unstable for standard transfer bars.
Q3: How easy is it to reprogram a Fanuc line for a new die set?
With Fanuc ROBOGUIDE (Simulation Software), we can program the entire die change and robot path offline. Once the physical die is in the press, we use Program Shift to calibrate the virtual path to the real-world coordinates, reducing on-site commissioning time from days to hours.
