Is the pneumatic locking force sufficient? Could slippage occur under high winding tension?
The force is precisely calculated and sufficient. The pneumatic locking mechanism uses a cylinder to push slant or cams, converting axial force into significant radial expansion force. This creates extremely high static friction between the expansion sleeve and the paper core's inner wall. The locking force far exceeds the maximum torsional force generated during winding, ensuring no slippage occurs under any normal winding tension.
If the factory has a sudden air supply failure, will an already locked shaft loosen?
It will not loosen accidentally. The pneumatic locking mechanism typically uses a fail-safe (energize/fill to release) design. This means the locked state is maintained by mechanical self-locking or springs; even without air pressure, the locking force remains, ensuring equipment and product safety. After air supply resumes, the release button must be actively operated to unlock.
Compared to manual bolts, is maintenance for this mechanism more complex?
Maintenance is not complex. The core moving part (cylinder) is a standard industrial component with high reliability and long life. Daily maintenance only requires ensuring the air source is clean and dry to prevent internal cylinder rust or jamming. Periodically check air hose connections for leaks.
