Yes, such filled or reinforced materials cause significantly more wear on the screw, barrel, and die head than pure PP. This is precisely why we use 38CrMoAlA nitrided screws and alloy steel barrels—they possess extremely high surface hardness and wear resistance, specifically designed to handle such abrasive materials, significantly extending the service life of core components.

Are there any special process considerations when processing modified materials like flame-retardant PP?

Main considerations are two-fold: 1) Stricter Temperature Control: Additives like flame retardants may have a narrow processing temperature window, requiring more precise temperature control (the machine's ±1°C accuracy is suitable). 2) Corrosiveness: Some flame-retardant systems can be corrosive; our screw/barrel material and surface treatment offer better corrosion resistance.
