This compressor serves as the core air supply component for the AIRMATIC air suspension system in Mercedes-Benz R-Class W251 chassis vehicles. Designed as a single pump assembly with integrated dryer and thermal protection, it's ideal for repair scenarios where original compressors have failed due to aging, fatigue, moisture ingress, or burnout.
As the "heart" of the Mercedes-Benz air suspension system, the compressor supplies compressed air to maintain vehicle ride height and automatic self-leveling functionality. When compressor failure occurs, the system cannot raise the vehicle to preset height, and the instrument panel displays an "Air Suspension Stop Automatic Leveling" fault.
