The tilting furnace rocker frame, also known as curved box-type tilting frame, is the core load-bearing and tilting equipment for ferroalloy submerged arc furnaces, DC electric arc furnaces, refining furnaces, yellow phosphorus furnaces, silicomanganese/ferrovanadium smelting furnaces. It corresponds to the box-welded curved steel structure main body shown in the photo. The complete unit bears the full weight of the furnace body, and cooperates with hydraulic cylinders to complete tilting actions for tapping, slag discharging, hot-melting shaking and slag skimming. It is widely applied in metallurgical ferroalloy and non-ferrous metal smelting industries.
Core Functions
Full-weight bearing: Supports all loads including furnace shell, lining, conductive system and water cooling devices.
Controllable tilting: Hydraulic drive tilts the furnace forward and backward to discharge molten metal and slag.
Safety self-locking: Curved support surface limits position after reset to prevent furnace tipping under hydraulic failure.
Rigid buffering: Heavy-plate box welded structure resists alternating impact and high-temperature thermal deformation during smelting.
2. Overall Structural Composition
2.1 Main Load-bearing Rocker Frame
Structural form: Integrated box-welded curved base + double-side curved support arc plates, fully penetration welding with Q355B high-strength low-alloy thick steel plates and internal reinforcing partitions. Segmented box bodies and bolt-reinforced connection structures can be seen in the picture.
Curved support arc: Arc track on both sides rolls on base rollers to reduce tilting resistance.
Lateral reinforcement: Vertical thickened connection plates and high-strength bolt-assembled modular segments for split transportation and on-site assembly.
Bottom base: Integral rectangular box base, rigidly fixed to concrete foundation via embedded anchor bolts.

Support roller group: Fixed load-bearing rollers on foundation to carry rolling curved rocker frame.
Mechanical limit locking mechanism: Dual protection of hard mechanical limit and hydraulic self-locking valve.
Angle detection encoder: Real-time feedback of tilting angle for PLC speed regulation automatically.
Emergency support blocks: Mechanical stop blocks under zero position to eliminate tipping risk under pressure loss.

Eccentric triangular structure driven by motor eccentricity, used for hot metal mixing and homogenization, focusing on stirring uniformity.
