48V Battery Integration for Higher Residential Loads

This 6kW hybrid solar inverter is designed for compatible 48V lithium and lead-acid battery systems. It combines battery charging, photovoltaic conversion, backup power management and system monitoring in one wall-mounted unit.

The battery connection operates across a 40–60Vdc range, with 48V listed as the recommended voltage platform. Maximum charging and discharging currents are both rated at 120A.

RS485 and CAN interfaces are available for compatible lithium battery communication. LCD, APP, WiFi and LAN access allow installers and system operators to view operating information locally or remotely.

Battery, BMS and Energy Management Functions

Flexible 48V Battery Platform

Compatible lithium or lead-acid batteries can be selected according to the required storage capacity, discharge demand and backup duration.

120A Charging and Discharging

The inverter supports up to 120A of battery charging and 120A of discharging when permitted by the battery, BMS, cables and DC protection equipment.

RS485 and CAN BMS Access

Compatible lithium batteries can exchange operating information with the inverter after the communication protocol and cable definition are confirmed.

Remote and Time-Based Management

WiFi or LAN access supports remote monitoring, while peak and valley settings allow operation to follow a planned electricity-use schedule.

Battery Sizing and Charging-Current Planning

The listed 120A charging capability should not automatically be applied to every battery. The selected setting must remain within the battery manufacturer’s permitted charge rate, BMS current limit, cable capacity and protection-device rating.

The maximum battery charging voltage is listed as 60Vdc. Battery chemistry, normal operating range, maximum charging voltage and protection settings must be confirmed before commissioning.

Battery capacity should be selected according to average load, usable depth of discharge and required backup duration. Increasing battery capacity may extend operating time but does not increase the inverter’s 6kW output.

RS485 and CAN ports do not automatically guarantee compatibility with every lithium battery. The communication protocol, cable pin definition and software configuration should be checked before ordering.

Compatible CT or smart-meter communication can support energy measurement and self-consumption control. Final settings must follow the project design and local grid-connection requirements.

Compatible lithium and lead-acid batteries operating within the 40–60Vdc range may be used after their voltage, current and charging requirements are confirmed.

Can every 48V battery accept 120A charging?

No. Permitted charging current depends on battery capacity, chemistry, BMS rating, cable size and DC protection equipment.

Does RS485 or CAN guarantee BMS compatibility?

No. The inverter and battery must also use a compatible protocol, cable pin definition and communication configuration.

Can the inverter be monitored remotely?

Compatible WiFi or LAN communication can provide application-based monitoring after the network and required monitoring platform are configured.

Can battery operation follow different electricity time periods?

Peak and valley time settings can coordinate battery operation with a planned electricity-use schedule configured for the project.
