I. Four Core Functions
1. Balance Internal and External Oil Tank Pressure (Basic Function)
As the excavator boom and cylinders extend/contract, and hydraulic oil expands/contracts with temperature changes, the oil level in the tank fluctuates continuously. The filter core is responsible for air intake and exhaust to balance the atmospheric pressure inside the tank.
- Air Intake: When oil volume decreases and negative pressure forms in the tank, outside air enters the tank through the filter core.
- Air Exhaust: When oil temperature rises and oil expands, causing increased pressure in the tank, excess internal air is expelled outward.
- Prevent Faults: A clogged filter core prevents ventilation, leading to tank collapse, hydraulic pump cavitation, poor machine operation, and high hydraulic oil temperature.
2. Precise Air Filtration, Blocking Dust, Sand, and Moisture
With a filter material precision of 1μm, it intercepts construction site dust, sand, and moisture during air intake, preventing impurities from mixing into the hydraulic oil:
- Avoid premature darkening and deterioration of hydraulic oil, acidification, and sludge formation.
- Protect precision hydraulic components such as main pumps, multi-way valves, and pistons, reducing internal leakage, scoring, and wear, thus significantly lowering maintenance costs.
3. Recover Oil Mist from the Tank, Reducing Hydraulic Oil Loss
During exhaust, it captures hydraulic oil mist volatilized from the tank. The condensed oil mist flows back into the tank, reducing oil consumption and preventing oil leakage and dust accumulation on the breather exterior.
4. Integrated Fueling Filtration (Integrated Breather Fueling Port)
The top cover of the breather valve can be opened. When adding hydraulic oil, the filter core simultaneously filters impurities from the added oil, serving dual purposes of fueling and dust/impurity filtration.
II. Faults Caused by Failure
1. Clogged Filter Core: Negative pressure in the tank, hydraulic pump cavitation noise, weak machine operation, high hydraulic oil temperature, and tank bulging/deformation.
2. Damaged Filter Core: Dust, water, and contaminants enter the tank, rapidly polluting the hydraulic oil, causing early pump and valve wear, and frequent machine failures.
III. Maintenance and Replacement Cycle
Normal conditions: Replace every 1000 hours; In harsh dusty conditions such as mines and earthwork sites: Inspect and replace every 500 hours.
