Shock absorber bottom covers are thin-gauge sheet metal components (typically 1-3mm) that must be welded to the tube body with consistent nugget strength. AC spot welders on thin sheet metal often produce spatter and inconsistent penetration due to the sinusoidal current waveform's zero-crossing points. DC output eliminates this problem by delivering continuous unidirectional current, producing cleaner welds with less spatter and more predictable nugget formation.
This Xinwei DC pneumatic spot welder addresses the complete production challenge. The dual auto-feeding system independently delivers bottom covers and tubes to the welding position. The pneumatic-hydraulic booster cylinder achieves hydraulic-level output pressure using standard plant air, eliminating the need for a separate hydraulic power unit. The high-rigidity frame with internal rib reinforcement maintains electrode alignment under the 6000-15000N forces required for consistent spot welding on automotive-grade sheet metal.
