The XHTX206 Frequency Conversion CT PT Analyzer is a new-generation comprehensive transformer characteristic tester developed for the power industry, replacing the traditional combination of variable-ratio transformers, step-up transformers and current boosters. Based on advanced frequency conversion testing technology with a high-performance DSP and FPGA platform, it fully satisfies excitation (volt-ampere) characteristic, transformation ratio, polarity, secondary winding resistance, secondary burden, ratio error and angle error testing of protection-class, metering-class and TP-class current transformers, as well as excitation characteristic, ratio, polarity and secondary winding resistance testing of PT electromagnetic units. The instrument delivers higher automation, better stability and significantly improved testing efficiency for professional transformer verification.

The XHTX206 follows the low-frequency method test principle for excitation characteristic testing, which significantly reduces the required test voltage and current while preserving measurement accuracy. The instrument also applies the 10% error curve calculation method to evaluate the performance of protection-class current transformers, helping engineers verify that protection devices will operate correctly under fault conditions. All tests comply with GB1208 (IEC60044-1), GB16847 (IEC60044-6) and GB1207 standards, and the instrument automatically selects the appropriate standard according to the transformer type and class, ensuring consistent, repeatable results that are accepted by utilities and third-party laboratories worldwide.
For various CT structures including bushing-type, wound-type and window-type current transformers, the appendix of the manual provides detailed four-terminal wiring diagrams, guaranteeing correct connections for accurate measurement in every configuration. The instrument's self-test function verifies internal circuits and measurement channels before testing, while the through-flow test function validates the complete current loop, making the XHTX206 a complete verification solution for transformer testing professionals.
