Double-sided tape is a roll-form adhesive tape made by uniformly coating a cottonpaper substrate with pressure-sensitive adhesive; it consists of a substrate, anadhesive and a release liner. lt is categorised into solvent-based double-sidedadhesive tape (oil-based),emulsion-based double-sided adhesive tape (wa-ter-based) and hot-melt double-sided adhesive tape, amongst others. lt is widelyused for bonding and positioning applications in leather goods, nameplates, statio-nery, electronics, footwear, paper manufacturing and handicrafts. Oil-based adhe.sive is primarily used for high-tack applications such as leather goods, expandedpolystyrene, foam and footwear products.
