VIBRO METER GSI 127 244-127-000-017 A2-B02 Galvanic Separation Unit

The GSI127 galvanic separation unit is designed for use with a wide range of signal conditioners, charge amplifiers, and electronics in various measurement chains and sensors. Compatible devices include IPC707 signal conditioners (and older IPC704) for CAxxx piezoelectric accelerometers and CPxxx dynamic pressure sensors, IQS9xx signal conditioners (and older IQS4xx) for TQ9xx proximity sensors, electronics used by CExxx piezoelectric accelerometers, and integrated electronics of the VE210 velocity sensor. The GSI127 also supports industry-standard IEPE vibration sensors, including constant-current voltage output sensors such as CE620 and PV660 (and older CE680, CE110I, PV102).

This versatile unit transmits high-frequency AC signals over long distances in measurement chains using current-signal transmission or serves as a safety barrier in voltage-signal transmission chains. It can supply any electronic system (sensor side) consuming up to 22 mA. The unit rejects a large portion of frame voltage, reducing noise caused by ground differences between the sensor case and monitoring system. Its redesigned internal power supply provides a floating output signal, eliminating the need for additional external power supplies such as the APF19x.

Designed for industrial and hazardous environments, the GSI127 is certified for installation in Ex Zone 2 (nA) while supplying measurement chains in Ex Zone 0 ([ia]). It removes the need for additional Zener barriers in intrinsic safety (Ex i) applications. The housing features removable screw-terminal connectors for simplified installation and mounting, along with a DIN-rail mounting adaptor for direct attachment to DIN rails.
