Compatible System and Applications

This model can serve high-pressure melt locations such as melt-pump discharge, restrictive filtration sections and extrusion dies, provided that the machine design permits a 700 bar measuring range. The control system should interpret 4 mA as zero and 20 mA as 700 bar. Using an incorrectly configured analog scale can conceal an overpressure condition or cause nuisance shutdowns.

Maintenance and Replacement Notes

Before removing the installed transmitter, record the engineering units, full-scale setting, alarm thresholds and shutdown logic. Seven hundred bar is approximately 10,153 psi and is therefore not the same calibration as a 10,000 psi P10M model. Inspect the pressure port for contamination and confirm that the sensing diaphragm will not contact the bottom of the mounting hole. Maintain the flexible section above its minimum safe bend radius and protect the connector from moisture and polymer residue.
