The water-cooled protective cover is a key protective component of the electrode system in submerged arc furnaces (SAF). Installed at the lower part of the electrode, it isolates high-temperature furnace gas and thermal radiation, protects the electrode bottom device from burning, and removes heat through circulating cooling water to ensure stable operation of equipment under high-temperature conditions. The water-cooled protective cover is a key protective device in the electrode column of SAF, installed at the bottom of the electrode to protect the electrode bottom device from high-temperature furnace gas and charge, ensuring normal operation of the electrode column.
Based on structural form, cooling method, and manufacturing process, SAF water-cooled protective covers are mainly divided into the following types:
