Dissolved Air Flotation Unit DAF Oily Wastewater Separation System SS304 5-200 m³/h
The Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) unit is a compact, high-rate separation system engineered to remove oils, grease, suspended solids, and light flocs from industrial and municipal wastewater. By dissolving air into a pressurized recycle stream and releasing it as millions of micro-bubbles, the DAF creates a dense flotation blanket that lifts contaminants to the surface for continuous, automatic removal. The result is clear, compliant effluent with a footprint far smaller than conventional settling tanks, making the DAF the preferred front-end solution for refineries, food processing plants, paper mills, and centralized treatment works that must meet strict discharge limits.

  • High Separation Efficiency: Micro-bubble flotation captures oil droplets as small as 10 microns, achieving suspended solids and grease removal rates above 90%.
  • Robust SS304 / SS316L Construction: Thick-walled stainless steel tank walls, baffles, and scrapers resist the corrosive attack of oily, slightly acidic, or saline waste streams.
  • Automatic Sludge Scraping: A motor-driven chain scraper continuously sweeps the floating sludge blanket into a collection hopper, eliminating manual skimming and reducing labour costs.
  • Precise Pressure Saturation: A dedicated dissolved-air vessel maintains 0.4-0.6 MPa saturation pressure, guaranteeing a consistent 30-40% recycle ratio and stable bubble generation.
  • Small Footprint, High Load: High surface loading rates of 5-10 m³/m² per hour let the unit treat large flows within a very compact tank volume.
  • PLC Integrated Control: A PLC with HMI coordinates the air compressor, recycle pump, and scraper, with remote monitoring ready for SCADA integration.
