SD-5M D12.711 YG8 Carbide Preform – Semi-Finished for Custom Burr Production
The SD-5M D12.711 is a semi-finished carbide preform made from YG8 tungsten carbide. YG8 contains 8% cobalt, offering a good balance of toughness and wear resistance — making it suitable for custom rotary burrs used in general metalworking, deburring, surface blending, and weld preparation.

The preform is pre-shaped to the SD series cylindrical with radius end profile, which is ideal for creating smooth flat surfaces, rounded edges, and controlled material removal. The D12.711 specification provides a consistent dimensional starting point, helping to reduce material waste and setup time.
