SG-15M G1938 YG8 Carbide Preform – Semi-Finished for Custom Burr Production
The SG-15M G1938 is a semi-finished carbide preform made from YG8 tungsten carbide. YG8 contains 8% cobalt, providing good toughness and wear resistance — making it suitable for larger rotary burrs used in heavy material removal, weld cleaning, and industrial metalworking applications.
The preform is pre-shaped to the SG series flame/burin shape profile, which is ideal for aggressive cutting, contouring, and working in tight radii. The G1938 specification offers a larger dimensional starting point, helping to reduce roughing work and setup time for bigger burr sizes.
