The SL-2M is a semi-finished carbide preform made from virgin tungsten carbide with silver-brazed construction. Virgin material means it is produced from new, unrecycled raw materials, ensuring consistent quality and reliable performance during custom grinding and final use. The carbide tip is securely joined to the steel shank using silver brazing, providing a strong and durable bond that withstands the stresses of tooth grinding and everyday operation.

This preform comes pre-shaped to the SL series profile, saving you time in the initial forming process while giving you full control over the final cut geometry, tooth pattern, and coating. It is ideal for tool manufacturers, professional resharpening shops, or specialized users who require high-quality blanks for creating custom rotary burrs. The standard 6mm shank is ready for final processing.
