Xinhaisen’s precision-etched bipolar plates are key parts for proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) and electrolyzers. Using advanced chemical etching, we produce ultra-flat, corrosion-resistant plates with complex flow field designs. Our process ensures burr-free, stress-free plates ideal for efficient gas distribution and current collection.
Chemical etching (also known as photochemical etching) is a subtractive manufacturing process that uses controlled chemical solutions to dissolve metal through photoresist patterns. Unlike stamping or machining, etching:
Leaves no burrs or heat-affected zones
Does not change metal properties
Allows rapid prototyping without tooling costs
Handles complex, fine features with high repeatability
High precision – Minimum line width down to 0.015mm, accuracy up to ±0.01mm
