These plates are essential parts in Proton-Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFC), where they distribute fuel and oxygen evenly across the cell.Using our advanced photochemical etching technology, we manufacture high-performance plates from thin metals like 316L stainless steel and titanium. We create precise micro-channel patterns on the metal surface, ensuring maximum efficiency and power density. Manufacturing Process
Our photochemical etching process is a precise and flexible method for creating complex flow field patterns:
Cleaning: The metal coil is thoroughly cleaned to remove any surface contaminants.
Resist Application: A light-sensitive film (photoresist) is laminated onto both sides of the metal.
Exposure: A photomask with the flow channel design is placed on the metal. UV light hardens the resist in the areas that should remain (the lands).
Developing: The unhardened resist is washed away, exposing the metal where the channels will be etched.
Etching: An etching solution is sprayed onto the metal, dissolving the exposed areas to form the channels precisely.
Stripping: The hardened protective resist is removed, leaving a clean, burr-free bipolar plate.
This simple, tool-less process allows us to switch designs instantly and maintain extremely high precision.
