Resistors have DC and AC continuous voltage ratings calculated using the formula RCWV = (P*R), where RCWV is the Rated DC or RMS AC continuous working voltage, P is the Power Rating, and R is the Nominal Resistance. Overload voltage is defined as 2.5 times RCWV.
