Our custom-manufactured gland sealing rings are key sealing components for 660 MW large-capacity thermal power steam turbines. Installed between rotating rotors and stationary diaphragms/casings, they adopt labyrinth tooth structure to restrict steam leakage along shaft and diaphragm gaps. By minimizing steam bypass loss, they effectively improve turbine stage efficiency, reduce heat consumption, suppress rotor steam excitation vibration, and guarantee safe, stable and economical operation of the whole unit.
We provide fully tailor-made sealing rings for 660 MW sub-critical and super-critical turbine units. According to cylinder position, operating temperature-pressure, shaft diameter, radial clearance requirements and installation dimensions, we complete material selection, sealing tooth profile design, segment structure optimization and precision machining. Our solutions cover new unit supporting, flow-path retrofit performance upgrade, overhaul spare-part replacement and failed sealing ring renewal.
Key Features
Optimized Material Grade Matching
Select matched materials for HP, IP and LP working conditions. High-temperature resistant alloy for high-& intermediate-pressure stages; special anti-erosion alloy for wet-steam low-pressure sections. Excellent high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance, anti-wear and anti-erosion performance. Resist thermal deformation and particle erosion under long-term variable-load operation of 660 MW units.
Customizable segment quantity, tooth geometry, tooth tip clearance, mounting groove profile and circumferential spring structure. We strictly follow original drawings for replacement parts; we can also optimize tooth pattern for flow-path renovation to cut leakage rate. Split-segment design with backing spring ensures good circumferential fit, maintains stable radial clearance during thermal expansion and contraction. Effectively reduce steam leakage and improve unit heat-rate performance.
Fine Machining & Strict Deformation Control
High-precision CNC machining for sealing tooth tips and mating mounting surfaces. Controlled heat-treatment process relieves internal stress, lowering risk of warping and distortion under temperature cycling. Consistent tooth height and sharp tooth profile ensure reliable sealing performance.
Complete Quality Inspection System
Each sealing ring undergoes dimensional inspection, tooth profile detection, hardness testing and non-destructive testing (NDT). Compliant with thermal power equipment industry standards. Stable sealing effect, prolong service cycle, decrease unplanned shutdown loss and maintenance cost.
Application Scenarios
Specially developed for 660 MW sub-critical / super-critical steam turbines, applicable for HP, IP, LP shaft glands and diaphragm sealing positions. Widely used for:
