The middle cylinder is a core pressure-containing casing of steam turbines, located between the front (high-pressure) cylinder and the exhaust (low-pressure) cylinder. It houses the intermediate-pressure rotor and inner casing assembly, bearing combined loads of intermediate-temperature & intermediate-pressure steam, cyclic thermal stress, mechanical force and bolt preload during turbine operation. It plays a decisive role in steam flow distribution, thermal efficiency and unit operational safety.

Strict process control eliminates casting porosity, inclusions and residual stress to guarantee intrinsic material quality.
