Description

Three Phase Decanter Centrifuge for Food Waste Oil Recovery is designed for separating oil, liquid, and organic solids from crushed food waste slurry and kitchen waste streams.

Food waste is usually not clean waste oil. It contains high moisture, grease, food residue, fibers, starch, protein solids, sand, and suspended organic matter.

A three phase decanter centrifuge helps recover grease from the mixed slurry while reducing the oil and solids load before downstream treatment.

How the Centrifuge Works in Food Waste Oil Recovery

Crushed food waste slurry enters the rotating bowl through the feed pipe.

Under centrifugal force, heavier organic solids, fibers, starch, protein particles, and sand move outward and form a solid layer on the bowl wall.

The water-rich liquid phase forms the heavier liquid layer, while the oil or grease phase stays closer to the center as the lighter liquid phase.

The screw conveyor continuously pushes separated organic solids toward the discharge end. The oil phase and liquid phase are separated internally and collected according to the process design.
