Sodium alginate is a natural high-molecular-weight polysaccharide extracted from brown seaweed. With excellent thickening, water-retention, film-forming and rheology-control properties, it is widely used in textile printing and dyeing as the paste thickener for reactive dye printing and color pastes.
This high-viscosity textile auxiliary dissolves quickly, forms a smooth uniform paste with fast deaeration, reduces printing bleeding, improves outline clarity, and enhances color yield and brightness. It can be compounded with various thickeners and is suitable for reactive dye printing of cotton, linen and blended fabrics.
The following are typical reference values for common grades; actual figures are subject to the batch Certificate of Analysis (COA). Custom viscosity grades are available.
