Solar glass are specially designed for encapsulation material of solar modules. The design reduces the direction reflectance and increase the internal reflection that the solar energy can be absorbed effectively. It ensures the maximum transmittance of the solar and raise the efficiency of electricity generation. Solar glass is also called photovoltaic glass and energy saving glass which mainly used on solar panel because of its super light transmittance rate. Solar panel is a thin layer of optoelectronic semiconductor which converting solar energy into electricity.
The glass observes the properties of high solar transmittance, low absorbance, low reflectance, superior physical strength and significant flatness, is the ideal encapsulation material for solar thermal and photovoltaic modules.

Feactures:
1. Ultra-High Light Transmittance (Core for Power Generation)
- Uses ultra-clear low-iron glass (Fe₂O₃ ≤ 0.015%), eliminating green tint. Visible light transmittance ≥ 91.5% (3.2mm uncoated) and ≥ 93% (with AR coating), maximizing sunlight absorption by PV cells.
- Low reflectivity: Optional single/multi-layer AR coating (SiO₂/TiO₂) reduces reflectivity to ≤ 1% (vs. 8-10% for ordinary glass), minimizing light loss.
2. Excellent Safety Performance (Tempered Core)
- All PV glass is tempered, with surface compressive stress ≥ 90MPa (meets IEC 61215/GB/T 9963 standards). Breaks into small, blunt-edged particles, avoiding damage to PV cells and personnel.
- High mechanical strength: Bending strength ≥ 240MPa, resisting wind pressure, snow load, and impact (critical for outdoor use in deserts, coastal areas, etc.).
3. Strong Weather Resistance (Long-Term Durability)
- UV resistance: No yellowing, cracking, or transmittance decline after 2000h UV aging test, adapting to long-term outdoor exposure.
- Humidity-heat/salt spray resistance: Stable performance after 1000h 85℃/85%RH test; passes 96h neutral salt spray test, suitable for humid/coastal PV projects.
- Corrosion resistance: Resists acid, alkali, and dust accumulation, reducing maintenance costs.
