316L Stainless Steel Angle Bar for Marine and Chemical Structures
Shaanxi Shangyou Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. supplies 316L stainless steel angle bar for marine equipment, chemical plants, wastewater facilities, coastal structures and industrial support systems.
316L is identified as UNS S31603 and EN 1.4404. It is a low-carbon, molybdenum-alloyed austenitic stainless steel used where greater corrosion resistance and improved welded-condition performance are required compared with standard 304.
The product can be supplied as equal angle, unequal angle or custom plate-formed L-section. The manufacturing route must be confirmed because not every size is available as a conventional hot-rolled angle.

316L is frequently selected for coastal structures, chemical equipment frames, processing platforms, pump supports, marine fittings and wastewater installations.
However, the term “marine grade” does not mean that 316L is immune to pitting or crevice corrosion. Water temperature, chloride concentration, deposits, stagnant zones, surface condition and cleaning procedures must be considered.
For continuously immersed seawater structures or severe chloride service, duplex 2205, super duplex 2507 or another alloy may be more appropriate after engineering review.
Custom processing can include straight cutting, mitre cutting, holes, slots, welding preparation and surface restoration.
After welding or fabrication, heat tint and embedded carbon-steel contamination should be removed where corrosion performance is important. Pickling or passivation can be specified according to the completed fabrication condition.
Finished angles are marked by grade, heat number, size and bundle number when traceability is required. Export packing options include strapped bundles, waterproof wrapping and wooden cases.
Quotations should state whether the price is based on theoretical or actual weight.
1. Is 316L suitable for seawater?
It may suit some marine atmospheres, but continuous seawater exposure requires a detailed corrosion assessment.
2. What is the difference between 316 and 316L?
316L has a lower maximum carbon level and is generally preferred for welded fabrication.
3. Can you supply unequal 316L angle?
Yes, subject to size, MOQ and manufacturing route.

Yes. The required grit, direction and visual acceptance level should be stated.
