Shangyou Stainless Steel supplies Type 316 equal angle in imperial dimensions for distributors, fabricators, equipment manufacturers and project buyers serving chemical, food, pharmaceutical and industrial markets.
Type 316 is UNS S31600 and EN 1.4401. Its molybdenum-alloyed composition provides greater corrosion resistance than standard chromium-nickel 304 in many demanding environments.
The stated 1/2 to 6 inch range refers to nominal leg width. Thickness, inside radius and actual dimensional availability vary with each leg size and production route.

Imperial orders should state leg width × leg width × thickness × length. Mixing inch and millimetre dimensions without identifying the governing unit system can create dimensional disputes.
The order should also state whether an exact imperial size is mandatory or whether the closest commercially available metric section is acceptable.
Type 316 angle is used in chemical-processing supports, food and beverage equipment, pharmaceutical machinery, pulp and paper equipment, brackets, frames, valves and general industrial fabrication.
For extensively welded structures, 316L may be preferred. For severe seawater or high-chloride immersion, duplex grades should be evaluated.
