WQ-PR888 is a self-film-forming solid polyurethane resin. This resin can be combined with solid acrylic resin (SA-24A) and terpolymer vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate resin (DA60) to formulate high-performance heat-seal coatings. As a key flexible adhesive component in the heat-seal coating formulation, the polyurethane resin WQ-PR888 plays a crucial role in enhancing sealing strength, flexibility, and interlayer adhesion in this system.
When combined with terpolymer vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate resin and acrylic resins, the polyurethane resin effectively improves the cohesion and elasticity of the heat seal layer, helping to prevent cracking, brittleness, and seal failure during heat sealing and subsequent forming or handling processes. It contributes to a wider heat-sealing temperature window and more stable sealing performance under varying processing conditions.
This polyurethane resin WL-PR888 is widely used in heat seal lacquers for pharmaceutical packaging, aluminum foil lids, blister packaging, and flexible packaging applications where reliable adhesion, flexibility, and consistent heat seal performance are required. It can also be cross-linked with amino and isocyanate curing agents for use in inks and adhesives.
