A glazed ceramic backflow incense burner shaped as a mountain waterfall. Smoke from a backflow cone runs down the carved channels like falling water, making it as much a piece of decor as a burner.
A backflow burner works because the smoke from a backflow cone is denser than air, so instead of rising it spills over the edge and runs downward. The carved mountain face on this glazed ceramic burner turns that effect into a waterfall, with the smoke following the channels from the peak to the pool at the base. The body is glazed ceramic with a matte finish and stands about 12cm tall, so it sits comfortably on a shelf, desk or meditation table. A mesh tray is included to hold the cone and catch the ash.
Each body is kiln fired and checked for glaze faults and level seating, since a backflow effect only works when the burner sits flat. The mesh tray is removable for easy cleaning and the piece is foam packed for transit.
