Safety Precautions

Always disconnect the negative terminal of the low-voltage battery before operation to prevent short circuits or fault codes during harness handling. The rear door integrates the window switch, door lock motor, speaker, and welcome light. Disconnect power before unplugging any connectors

Removing the Old Door Assembly

Step 1: Remove Door Panel Screws

The door panel has three screws to remove. The first is located inside the inner handle cover. Pry open the cover from the edge without leather covering using a flathead screwdriver, then remove with a T-30 Torx bit . The second is inside the hidden small cover on the right edge of the panel. Pry it open with a flathead screwdriver and remove with a T-20 Torx bit . The third is located at the bottom of the panel, requiring you to crouch down to find it. Remove it slowly with a T-20 Torx bit .

Step 2: Separate the Door Panel

After removing all three screws, gently pry from the panel edge gap with a flathead screwdriver to separate the plastic clips one by one . The rear door panel typically has 6 plastic clips securing it . Grip both left and right edges of the panel with your hands and pull outward with even force to separate the panel from the door body .

Step 3: Disconnect Wiring Connectors

After separating the panel, support the door panel with one hand and disconnect the internal wiring connectors with the other. The rear door panel typically has three connectors . These include the window switch connector, speaker connector, and welcome light connector (if equipped). Press the locking tab before pulling out each connector smoothly.

Step 4: Remove Door Hinge Bolts

Use a socket or wrench of the correct size to remove the upper and lower hinge bolts connecting the door to the body. It is recommended to have two people support the door to prevent it from falling suddenly after all bolts are removed.

Step 5: Remove the Door Assembly

After removing all hinge bolts, separate the old rear door assembly from the body. Be careful not to scratch the body paint or door frame edges. Place the old door on a soft surface.

Installing the New Door Assembly

Step 6: Install the New Door Assembly

Align the new rear door assembly with the body hinge mounting positions. Push it in and tighten the hinge bolts. Close the door to check for even gaps and smooth operation. If gaps are uneven, adjust hinge positions slightly and re-tighten.

Step 7: Connect Wiring Connectors

Connect the door panel harness connectors to the body harness, reconnecting the window switch connector, speaker connector, and welcome light connector in sequence. Ensure all clips are fully engaged.

Step 8: Reinstall the Door Panel

Align the door panel with the door clips and press evenly with your palm until you hear a “click,” indicating proper seating. Then tighten the three retaining screws (T-30 and T-20 Torx bits), and reinstall the inner handle cover and hidden small covers .

Step 9: Function Test

Restore vehicle power and test the following functions in sequence: window operation, central locking open/close, speaker output, welcome light illumination (if equipped), and door handle touch unlock (if equipped).

Important Notes

Hinge bolts must be tightened to specified torque: Refer to the original repair manual for door hinge bolt torque. Insufficient torque may cause door sag or noise; excessive torque may damage threads.

Door panel clips are fragile: Plastic clips may break during removal. Prepare spare clips in advance and check clip condition before installation .

Pay attention to direction when prying the inner handle cover: When prying the inner handle cover with a flathead screwdriver, do not pry from the leather-covered area, as the soft leather is easily damaged .

Two-person operation recommended: The door assembly is heavy. Single-person operation may cause the door to slip or scratch the paint. Two people are recommended for removal and installation.
