Gefran ME2-6-M-B01M-1-4-D 2130X000X00, Gefran code F007766, is a high-range ME2 melt pressure and temperature transmitter designed for extrusion, polymer production and other fixed high-temperature process equipment. The pressure section uses a mercury-filled hydraulic transmission system and provides a two-wire 4–20 mA output. An integrated Type J thermocouple supplies a separate temperature signal from the same process location.
The B01M code identifies a 0–1000 bar pressure range, corresponding to the nominal 15000 psi class. This range provides substantially more pressure capacity than the 350, 500 and 700 bar ME2 configurations. It should be selected only when the machine’s validated operating and transient pressures require that span. A 1000 bar transmitter installed on a lower-pressure process may reduce useful measurement resolution compared with a correctly selected lower-range version.

Configure the pressure input so that 4 mA represents 0 bar and 20 mA represents 1000 bar. Existing alarm and shutdown values must be reviewed when replacing a different pressure range. Connect the thermocouple conductors only to a Type J-compatible input with correct polarity and cold-junction compensation. Do not connect the thermocouple circuit to the powered current loop.
Cool and depressurize the process before removing the existing transmitter. Inspect the mounting bore and thread, protect the sensing diaphragm from tools and hardened polymer, and route the flexible capillary away from tight bends and moving components. Verify the six-pin wiring diagram before energizing the pressure loop.
ME2-6-M-B07C-1-5-D 2130X000X00 (F007779) has a 700 bar range and a longer 318 mm rigid stem. ME2-6-M-B05C-1-4-D 2130X000X00 (F007769) is rated for 500 bar. ME2-6-M-P10M-1-5-D 2130X000X00 (F021938) uses a 10000 psi range code and a 318 mm rigid stem. Related models are provided for family reference only and are not automatically interchangeable.
