Wirewound Fusible Resistors
This specification is for wirewound resistors used in home appliances, computers, information technology, and lighting. These resistors are designed to meet specific electrical and mechanical performance requirements under various operating conditions.
Lead Strength (Tensile): 1.5kg for 10 seconds without detachment or looseness.
Lead Strength (Torsion): Withstand specified torsion without breakage or looseness.
Short-time Overload: No abnormality when 2.5x rated voltage is applied for 5 seconds. Resistance change within 1% after cooling.
Withstand Voltage: 350V AC for 1 minute. No abnormality or burn damage. Resistance change within 0.5%.
Insulation Resistance: 10000M (DC 500V).
Damp Heat Life: Resistance change within 5% after 500 hours at 402, 90-95% RH.
Load Life: Resistance change within 5% after 1000 hours at 70 with rated power applied cyclically.
Solderability: Solder coverage 95% on terminal area after immersion in 2355 tin bath for 2 seconds.
Solder Heat Resistance: Resistance change within 1% after immersion in 2705 tin bath for 101 seconds (or 35010 for 3.50.5 seconds).
Non-flammability: No open flame when 8x rated current is applied for 5 minutes.
Application Notes
To avoid risk of galvanic corrosion (approx. 10ppm failure rate after one year of use), limit usage to below 50V when ambient temperature and humidity exceed 85/85%.
