Resistors have a power rating based on continuous load operation at an ambient temperature from -55 to 70. Derating is required above 70.
Resistors have DC and AC continuous voltage ratings. The formula for Rated DC or RMS AC continuous working voltage (RCWV) is P*R, where P is Power Rating and R is Nominal Resistance. Overload voltage is 2.5 times RCWV.
