A spiral folded silo is formed by a Lipp machine that folds a steel strip into one continuous wall on site, so the shell goes up fast and seals tight. Built from galvanized or stainless steel, it resists rust for grain and stands up to aggressive media such as slag, process chemicals and wastewater solids.
The wall starts as a coil of steel strip fed through a Lipp machine at the site. The machine folds the strip into a rising spiral, so the shell is one continuous piece with a folded seam rather than many bolted panels or a cast wall. That single folded wall makes the silo quick to raise, easy to take down, and tight against leaks.
The shell is galvanized steel or stainless steel, chosen for the duty. For grain that means no rust taint on the crop; for slag, chemicals and wastewater solids it means the wall survives harsh conditions and aggressive liquids and solids that eat through plain steel. The same folded build serves a clean food silo and a tough industrial one.

A folded silo is custom sized, raised in days and moved if the site changes. Concrete is fixed, slow and prone to crack under corrosive load, so the steel silo carries a lower cost of ownership over its life.
