0Cr21Al6 resistance strip is an iron-chromium-aluminum (Fe-Cr-Al) alloy engineered for high-performance electric heating applications, combining exceptional oxidation resistance, mechanical stability, and cost efficiency. With a composition of 20–23% chromium, 5.5–7.0% aluminum, and balanced iron, this alloy forms a robust alumina (Al₂O₃) layer at temperatures up to 1,350°C (2,462°F), providing long-term protection against oxidation, carburization, and sulfurization in aggressive industrial atmospheres. Its low carbon content (≤0.08%) and controlled silicon (≤1.0%) minimize embrittlement, ensuring reliable performance in cyclic heating environments such as industrial furnaces, kilns, and household appliances.
Certified to GB/T 1234 and DIN 17470 standards, the 0Cr21Al6 strip achieves a tensile strength of 550–700 MPa and surface load capacity of up to 2.0 W/cm², making it ideal for heating elements in air, vacuum, or inert gas settings. The alloy’s high electrical resistivity (1.35 μΩ·m) and low temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) ensure stable energy output, offering a cost-effective alternative to traditional nickel-chromium alloys while maintaining longevity in extreme thermal conditions.

Industrial Heating: Elements for annealing, brazing, and sintering furnaces.
Consumer Appliances: Oven coils, electric stoves, and hair dryer heating wires.
Automotive: Glow plugs, EGR heaters, and diesel particulate filter systems.
Energy Sector: Electric boilers and heat recovery ventilation units.
Aerospace: High-temperature sensors and ignition components.
Q1: What is the maximum continuous operating temperature for 0Cr21Al6 strips?
A: 1,250°C in continuous use and 1,350°C for intermittent operations, depending on environmental conditions.
Q2: Can this alloy withstand corrosive chlorine-rich atmospheres?
A: The alumina layer provides moderate resistance, but prolonged exposure to chlorine above 800°C may require protective coatings.
Q3: Is pre-oxidation necessary for new 0Cr21Al6 heating elements?
A: Yes. Heat-treating at 900–1,000°C for 1–2 hours enhances the protective oxide layer, extending service life.
