Dynamic Press-to-Robot Synchronization
The efficiency of a tandem line depends on the "handshake" between the robot and the press ram. We utilize Electronic Camming and ABB StampWare to monitor the press crank angle in real-time. This allows the robot to begin its entry trajectory as the ram ascends, eliminating idle time and increasing total line throughput by 15% - 20%.
Vibration-Dampened Structural Foundations
High-tonnage stamping (1200T - 2500T+) creates significant seismic harmonics that can degrade robotic accuracy. Qicheng designs custom Seismic-Isolated Pedestals filled with high-density polymer composites. These bases decouple the robot from ground-borne vibrations, preserving the integrity of high-resolution encoders and maintaining a repeatability of ±0.05mm.
Rapid Changeover (QDC) & Tooling Management
To support "High-Mix" production environments, we integrate Automated End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT) Racks with RFID Tool Identification. The system automatically swaps robotic grippers in synchronization with the press's Quick Die Change (QDC) sequence, reducing total line changeover time to under 5 minutes.
